In the beginning of 2013’s summer Hospitainer has provided a medical solution to the city of Homs in Syria, which has been severely destroyed in the armed conflict that started in 2011. A semi-mobile Emergency Obstetric Clinic has been deployed there in august 2013 and plans are that, on an annual basis, over 600 women will receive (emergency) obstetric care next to 700 women who will receive other forms of surgery. Also 600 male surgeries are planned.
